kids showing their reward the bundt cake

Library Technician Jennifer Holland inspired a group of students to take on the month-long "Books and Bundts" reading challenge

Laurin Middle School Library Technician Ms. Holland knew that getting kids excited about books sometimes needed a little extra magic, and a handful of her students embraced the reading challenge.

Their mission was clear: read for over 400 minutes each in one month. As the minutes tallied up, their reading time was rewarded. For those students who reached the 400-minute mark, the prize was a sweet, moist Bundtlet—a delicious symbol of their hard work and literary success. The treats were a tangible reminder that kindness and commitment go hand-in-hand, and the students enjoyed their well-earned reward! Special thanks to Nothing Bundt Cakes!
