The special meeting/work session began at 3:45 p.m. with interviews of students for representative positions on the board. After interviewing six students, the board selected Toby Nguyen from CAM Academy to serve as a representative during the 2025-26 and 2026-27 school years. Congratulations, Toby! He will replace outgoing representative Julia Stiffler, who is graduating from River HomeLink in June.

Regular meeting

The regular meeting began at 6 p.m. and included:

• Agenda approval

• Presentation of the awards from the 66th District Art Show

• Committee and board director reports

• Update on staffing and program budget cuts as a result of the double levy failure (begins at 41:55 mark)

• Superintendent and staff updates

• Citizens’ comments

• Approval of the consent agenda

• Old business:

  Second reading/approval of the "Principles of Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources" textbook for high school agricultural lab science courses.

• New business: The board voted unanimously to approve a contract with Aries Building Systems to construct a new home for Battle Ground Virtual Academy. The building will be paid for with impact fees (paid by developers) and will be constructed on the Prairie High School campus.
