Special meeting/work session

The special meeting/work session began at 4 p.m. and included a discussion of school improvement plans, with presentations by Pleasant Valley Primary School and Middle School administrators.

Regular meeting

The regular meeting began at 6 p.m. and included:

• Agenda approval

• Election of officers:

  • Mary Snitily, director of District 1, was named the board president.

  • Jackie Maddux, director of District 5, was appointed the vice president.

  • Terry Tate, director of District 4, is the new Washington State School Directors' Association legislative representative.

• Student voice from Yacolt Primary School, Amboy Middle School, River HomeLink and Prairie High School.

• Committee and board director reports

• Superintendent and staff updates, including the 2023-24 end-of-year financial report.

• Citizens’ comments

• Approval of the consent agenda

• No new business

• Future agenda items and board events

• Executive session: The board entered an executive session at 7:56 p.m. The executive session ended around 8:40 p.m. No action followed.
