Transitional Kindergarten

Transitional kindergarten is a full day, no-cost early learning program for children who will be 4 years old by Aug. 31. The program focuses on developmentally appropriate skills and social and emotional development. Students must meet eligibility requirements, and space is limited.

Research shows that students who have access to education prior to beginning kindergarten display higher literacy skills, math abilities and skills such as remembering rules and impulse control.

Transitional Kindergarten applications are no longer being accepted for the 2024-25 school year. Please watch for the application period to begin for the 2025-26 school year.
