It’s time to enroll in kindergarten! Any child who will be 5 years old on Sept. 1, 2026, is eligible to enter kindergarten in the fall.
Parents will need proof of their child's birth date (such as a birth certificate) and a signed and completed Washington state certificate of immunization status or certificate of exemption. The state of Washington requires that immunization records be medically verified. Enroll now to make sure your child can attend kindergarten orientation in May.
Transitional Kindergarten
Battle Ground Public Schools also offers Transitional Kindergarten for children who will be 4 years old on Sept. 1 and meet certain eligibility requirements. Visit our Transitional Kindergarten webpage to learn more about the program and fill out an online eligibility form by April 30. Families will be notified by May 29 of whether their child has been accepted into the program. Due to likely reductions in state funding, we do not know exactly how many Transitional Kindergarten spots we will be able to offer families for the 2026-27 school year. Space will likely be very limited.
