See you at our book fairVisit Daybreak Scholastic Book Fair and support the Daybreak libraries!

Come visit the Scholastic Book Fair in the library at Daybreak Primary and Middle Schools before or after school – only 4 days this spring.  In addition to school day hours, the book fair will also be open Thursday night on May 4th during the Primary “Daybreak on Display” Event.  Middle school families are invited to shop the fair.  Primary families can shop when you bring your children to and from school.  The fair will not be open before the middle school day, but we’d love for you to shop after school.

All book fair proceeds will be used to buy more books for the school library.  It’s a great opportunity to buy some books for summer reading.

We are limiting the amount of cash a student can bring to $50.  Anything over that needs a parent permission note, so parents are aware.

Hours open

  • CLOSED Monday 5/1
  • Tuesday 5/2 through Friday 5/5 @ 8:30-4:00pm
  • Thursday night in library @ 5:00-6:30pm (both DBP & DBM families)
  • Students can shop during the school day with library classes or on a pass from the teacher

eWallet Digital payment (cash-free electronic wallet)

Scholastic has a paperless way to send money with your student called eWallet. Give your student a secure, cash-free way to shop the fair.  Simply create a free account, set a spending limit, and have funds immediately available.  This way, you don’t need to look for cash, you can load any amount of money onto their account, and students can shop within that amount or less.  Try to put the amount you want your student to spend, as the remainder will stay on student accounts for future purchases.  You could also add comments to help their spending choices (such as, “only use for books,” “no Young Adult titles, or titles of books you’d like your child to buy.)

If you’re interested in using eWallet you need to:

1) Go to our Scholastic website for middle school families at www.scholastic.com/bf/daybreakmiddle or primary families at www.scholastic.com/bf/daybreakprimary (**it’s helpful if you sign up for the SPECIFIC SCHOOL, because each school is loaded onto a designated cash register)
2) Click on “Get started” in the eWallet section
3) Create an account
4) Load money onto the account
5) Tell your student to let us know that you used eWallet when it’s time for them to pay
Please note: the only downside of eWallet is that staff are unable to give change if there is any money left on the account. The money will stay on your eWallet account until your next purchase through Scholastic. You can use eWallet through teachers scholastic books sales, our next book fair, or the online book fair found www.scholastic.com/bf/daybreakmiddle for middle school families or www.scholastic.com/bf/daybreakprimary for primary school families.
Thanks for your support of reading!
