Food driveIt’s Food Drive time for Daybreak Middle families!

From November 13-17, Daybreak ASB will be collecting food donations to support our community.  All collected food will be donated to the Clark County Food Bank.Each grade will be competing to see who can bring in the most items and earn the most points. The grade level that collects the most food will receive a free choice period and a visit from the Kona Ice truck.  Collection bins will be placed in each grade level’s wing.  Every food item (can/box/package/etc.) collected will earn 1 point.  Each day, certain items will also receive bonus points!

Monday: Pasta – boxed or dry (Macaroni, Spaghetti, etc.) – 2x Bonus Points!

Tuesday:  – Peanut Butter 2x Bonus Points!

Wednesday: Day off for students

Thursday: Canned Meats (Chicken, Tuna, etc.) – 3x Bonus Points!

Friday: Canned Fruits and Vegetables5x Bonus Points!

Each afternoon, Daybreak Leadership students will tally up the day’s collection and release results, so you’ll know who’s in the lead. 

The Food Drive ends Friday, November 17th.  

In addition to non-perishable food items, the Clark County Food Bank also accepts the following non-food items, which will also earn DOUBLE POINTS!  New, unopened items only, please!

  • Individual/travel-size toiletries
  • Hygiene products (soap, hand sanitizer, toilet paper)
  • Baby care items (diapers, formula)
  • Dog & Cat Food

While most non-perishable food items are accepted, please refrain from donating the following: Rusty or unlabeled cans, Perishable items, Homemade items, Noncommercial canned or packaged items, Alcoholic beverages, mixes, or soda, Open or used items.
