Dragon art originalDraw a dragon!  The annual Dragon Art Contest starts this week.  If you love to draw or use your artistic talent, this contest is for you.  Any middle school student can participate.  The contest starts now through December 18th.  Winning art will be published in the yearbook (Dragon in sun was last year’s winner).  There are a few rules to follow:
  1. Go pick up a Dragon Art Submission Form in the office to complete & glue to the BACK of your art.
  2. Make sure your name is NOT on the front of the art with your dragon
  3. Only use 8 ½” by 11” sheet of white paper
  4. Draw your BEST dragon – we’re looking for quality work!
  5. Be creative and original in your work (no tracing).  If it’s awesome art but NOT a dragon, it will not win.
  6. Drawing in color (colored pencils, marker, or crayons, etc.) is PREFERRED but not mandatory.  Bold color looks best in a yearbook; light pencil doesn’t show up well.
  7. Complete Dragon Art Submission form (from the office).
  8. NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED.  Get your art to the office by the due date with form attached to the back!  1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners for each grade level will be published in the yearbook, as well as an overall school winner!
