Daybreak Schools

After school activities are beginning this month at DBM and our fall session will run from Oct. 17- Dec. 16. Students who want to participate in any after school activities will need a SIGNED PERMISSION SLIP PRIOR to joining.

Transportation: Students who normally walk home can walk home, parents can pick up, or parents who want their DBM student to ride the Primary bus home need to call our bus company, First Student at (360) 841-7099, to ensure there is room on the Primary bus before their student can get a bus pass.

Our Robotics Team, Dragon Byte, meets on Mondays and Thursdays from 2:45-4:00 PM. Students who are interested in Robotics can talk with Ms. Howard.

MAGIC (Multi-Access, Gamified Integration of Curriculum) is starting on October 18. MAGIC will meet from 2:45-3:30 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays. All 5th-8th grade students who are interested in joining can speak with Mr. Climer or Mr. Winegrad to get more information. All students must have a signed parent permission form before joining.

Do you like to read books? Do you get excited to talk about what you read? Come join our weekly DBM Book Group and have fun! We will get together after school to choose a book title, read weekly sections at home, and then meet on Wednesdays from 2:45-3:30 PM to talk about what we’ve read. If you’re interested please talk to Mrs. Marlow in the Library for more information and pickup a parent permission slip in the office.

We would like to get parent feedback about starting Homework Help sessions after school. Our Fall Homework Help Session will run from Oct. 17 through Dec. 16. We want to gather interest from families about what might work for your student(s). Please help us gather information by completing this Homework Help Session Survey no later than Monday, Oct. 10. We will send permission slips home to families who complete this survey. Students will be expected to be working on homework the entire session(s) that they attend. More information to come once we gather our survey results.
