Would you like to volunteer for our Scholastic Book Fair at Daybreak Schools in May (Both DBP & DBM)? We would love to have your help!
Deadline for volunteer paperwork & driver’s license: Wed, April 26th
Scholastic Book Fair dates: 4-day book fair – May 2nd to May 5th with Thurs, May 4th night event for both DBP & DBM families @ 5:00-6:30pm
How to signup:
Go to Scholastic Book Fair Volunteers google form: https://forms.gle/GSSttSuSm1B1NUAa6 . You can (1) check the days and time of shifts that you will be available for, and we will sign up volunteers and confirm using your contact information. That way, we’ll make sure all shifts have coverage. During the last fair, we had a few shifts with only one volunteer.
What to complete & submit: All volunteers need to (2) complete the BGPS ONLINE VOLUNTEER APPLICATION
(3) Bring or email your valid photo identification to Daybreak Middle school for verification. Your identification must be turned in BEFORE your application can be processed.
Once all documents are turned in, it takes 7-10 business days for clearance. Your application is good for 2 years (if you completed forms last school year, it would still be current this school year). Volunteers are needed for the following shifts:
- Set up fair: Monday, May 1st @ 12:00-3:00pm (help unpacking and displaying books and book fair items)
- Work the fair (cashier, help students with counting their change & finding books, straightening books, etc.):
- Tuesday through Friday shifts: 8:30-10:30am, 10:30-12:30pm, 12:30-2:30pm, 2:30-4:15pm
- Thursday evening shift 4:45pm-6:30pm
- Tear down fair: Monday, May 8th @ 9:30-11:00am
